Police raid Maharaja’s College for drugs

The police inspected the college campus and found no drugs.

The police raided Maharaja’s College for drugs here on Friday morning, following a consultation with the college Principal after allegations of drug use by college students.

The police inspected the college campus and found no drugs.

Following controversies around drug use on campus, the police held a meeting with the Principal and college council, during which the decision was taken to conduct a raid at the college. Officials also decided to demolish a bathroom complex that was not being used.

Gate shut

The college gate towards the General Hospital was also shut to allow entry through only two gates to the college. Officials have also decided to post security personnel at unguarded locations of the college.
