PFI leader questioned

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the assault on T.J. Joseph, Malayalam teacher with Newman College, Thodupuzha, interrogated Nazarudeen Elamaram, the State president of the Popular Front of India (PFI) on Wednesday.

It is also learnt that the SIT is planning to include clauses of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act to the cases registered in connection with the assault made on July 4.

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Home, visited Professor Joseph, who is recuperating at his home after a major surgery on his right palm which was chopped off by assailants.
