July 26, 2010 07:29 pm | Updated 07:29 pm IST - KOCHI:

The North Cochin Development Council, at its meeting held on Friday, has demanded that the Chathiath-High Court Road should be opened immediately to traffic towards Ernakulam.

Charles Dias, MP, presided at the meeting held at the Vaduthala Anglo Indian School hall.

Among the other demands raised by the Development Council are: The road traffic between Lourdes Hospital and Shanmughapuram should be made free of hassles; that a bridge should be constructed across Perandoor Canal from Vaduthala Swagatham Road to reduce the distance to destinations like Edappally and Aluva; that rail overbridges should be built at Pachalam and Vaduthala.
