New AG takes charge

The newly appointed Advocate General (AG) C.P. Sudhakara Prasad has said that tax-related cases will be conducted effectively.

Justice to poor

Talking to reporters after assuming office on Monday, Mr. Prasad said he would try to avoid any confrontation between the judiciary and the executive. His priority would be to provide justice to the poor. The working of the AG’s office would be made more transparent and corruption-free.

Former Advocate General K.P. Dandapani received the new Advocate General and conducted him to the office. The function was attended by former Director General of Prosecution T. Asaf Ali, former Additional Advocate Generals K.A. Jaleel and Babu Vargheese, and Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association president T.U. Nazer.
