Inaugurating the network, Mayor Soumini Jain said being a woman entrepreneur was a challenge, and that WEN would be a support system, critical for aspiring entrepreneurs. Leading entrepreneurs from the city attended the launch of WEN.

The network, started as a Whatsapp group over a period of three months, has evolved into a platform with around 200 members, including start-up managers and seasoned entrepreneurs.
