Minister promises to protect Mangalavanam

Minister for Forests Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has promised to convene a meeting of the senior officials of the department to chalk out plans for protecting the Mangalavanam bird sanctuary.

It was following a submission from Hibi Eden, MLA, in the State Assembly on Monday that the Minister gave the assurance.

Petitions

Mr. Radhakrishnan has also agreed to visit the Sanctuary, Mr. Eden said.

The Minister also informed the Assembly that he had received a few petitions regarding the sanctuary.
