Mahatma Gandhi University has introduced online submission of internal grades for easy and speedy compilation of the results.
The university has developed a software for implementing the project smoothly.
According to the university authorities, Principals of the affiliated colleges can submit the internal grades to the university online using the codes provided to them. The college authorities should also submit the internal grades in hard copy signed by the class teacher, Head of the Department and Principal. This will facilitate the university to verify the veracity of the data submitted by the colleges online.
The university has also decided to collect the feedback from the students, teachers, Principals and other stake holders regarding the implementation of the credit-semester and grading scheme in the undergraduate programmes.

The university authorities said that the implementation of the choice-based credit and semester system was going according to the early plan. The university had introduced the scheme of credit-semester and grading system for its various undergraduate programmes from 2009 admission onwards. All the undergraduate programmes – Model-I, Model-II, UGC Sponsored and new generation courses – except private registration, distant education and professional courses were brought under the scheme.
The first semester examinations under the credit-semester and grading pattern were conducted in November, 2009, as stipulated in the academic calendar.
The university had organized nine zonal centres for the valuation of answer books of first semester examinations. In each centre, answer books of an average 3,000 candidates were evaluated.
