T. Balakrishnan, Managing Director of INKEL and the High Speed Rail Corridor project, has said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has confirmed that he will inaugurate the Emerging Kerala meet in September in Kochi. A session on heritage preservation, jointly organised by Unesco and the government, would be part of the event, he said on Friday.

He was speaking at an interactive session on the meet, organised by the Kerala Management Association and sponsored by DP World and Petronet LNG Limited here.

Mr. Balakrishnan said Emerging Kerala would be an exposition of Kerala to the world and an opportunity for the State to listen to the world.
