The long break of 14 years from facing the arc lights was over in a flash.

Manju Warrier, one of the most popular actors in Mollywood, began her second innings with a bang as she shared the screen space with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan for the shoot of the latest ad film of Kalyan Jewellers at the Dadasaheb Phalke film city in Mumbai on Monday.

Spotted in a jeans and an attractive top, the actor got into the mould of the character with ease and her performance took over when the cameras started rolling. V.A. Sreekumar, the director of the ad-film, wanted to shoot the reaction of both Mr. Bachchan and Manju while watching a television scene.

There were no long takes as the natural actor surprised the crew and others present on the set through her versatility and poise.

“I was a bit tense how the shot will emerge especially when you are acting with an iconic figure like Amitabh Bachchan.

“But I was lucky enough to finish the take without much hiccups. I felt that Bachchan Sir was also comfortable doing the scene,” she said.
