An unidentified man was run over by a train on the tracks near Lourdes Hospital at Pachalam around 5.15 p.m. on Thursday. The man, who appeared to be about 55 years of age, was found lying in a canal adjoining the tracks.
Chain snatching
Two unidentified persons stole a gold chain from woman who was riding a scooter near Manjummel on Thursday afternoon.
The woman was returning home from work around 3.45 p.m. when two men wearing helmets arrived on motorbike and snatched her gold chain, weighing about 3.5 sovereigns.
