The city police on Monday arrested a 25-year-old person on charges of issuing a hoax bomb threat on the official Facebook page of a five-star hotel in the city. The accused has been identified as Vivek.P.Joshi, a native of Mulavukadu.

According to the police, Vivek opened a fake Facebook account and posted the message on the hotel’s page on March 25. Following this, a massive search operation was carried out in the hotel. “He was working with an online shopping company and issued the threat in frustration of losing his job,” officials said. After the incident, he had gone into hiding and was traced to a lodge in Aluva.
