Lissy Sojan remanded

Lissy Sojan, the prime accused in a sex racket case, was produced before the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II on Friday and remanded for 14 days in police custody.

Wanted in three cases of human trafficking, Lissy was allegedly part of a racket that trafficked girls and young women to West Asian countries and made them work in sex trade. She was arrested from near Aluva KSRTC bus stand by the Crime Branch Organised Crime Wing-II on Thursday. Lissy is also accused in one cheating and two passport cases registered at Vadakkanchery police station and one sex trade case registered at Nooranadu police station. Three others involved in trafficking a girl from Kazhakoottam through the Cochin International Airport were arrested earlier.
