: The Lakshadweep police on Sunday arrested a 46-year-old person from Nedumbassery airport on charges of abusing minor children.
The accused, identified as Moosa, was taken into custody by a police team from Minicoy on his landing here from Doha in the morning. An employee in a shipping company, Moosa is alleged to have abused several girls, including those under the age of 10 and captured the scenes on his mobile phone.
Earlier the police had taken into custody Moosa’s wife in connection with filming of the rape scenes. The police are also investigating whether the accused had sold the footage to porn websites elsewhere.
Moosa was later taken to Minicoy for detailed interrogation.
