KSRTC bus hits shelter

Two women were injured when a KSRTC low-floor bus rammed into a bus shelter at Kunnumpuram near NGO quarters in Kakkanad around 9 a.m. on Friday. The women, both working at the High Court of Kerala, were waiting at the shelter when a low-floor bus on the Pattimattom-Kaloor route rammed into the waiting shed. They were admitted to a private hospital here.

Woman detained

A woman was detained at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery on Friday on charge of tampering with her passport. Pankajakshiyamma, 51, of Kollam, allegedly tampered with the age mentioned in her passport. She allegedly altered the age on the advice of her agent to find a job in the Gulf.

Ganja seized

The Excise Department on Friday arrested three persons on charge of possession of ganja. Edappally residents Sunith, Abdul Salam, and Rajan were arrested with small packets of ganja in their possession. They allegedly sold the drugs to students.
