The City Corporation unveiled an online document verification system for the public here on Wednesday. The system allows people to upload their certificates or other documents online and get these verified by the corporation.
The Global Document Verification System was released here in association with Myeasydocs, an IIT-incubated company that developed the system. The programme hopes to cut down on the time and effort people spend in getting their documents verified for various purposes.
With the new system, people can upload their records and certificates to the website www.myeasydocs.com. Once they request the corporation to verify these documents, corporation officials will check the uploaded documents with their records to mark the records as authentic or false. The user can then send the verified documents to prospective employers, educational institutions, or other organisations. “The system is now also accepted by visa processing offices,” said company chief financial officer Thomas Tharakan.
Mayor Tony Chammany launched the service by verifying a set of documents to be used in the Middle East. The company’s operations director Shameem Jaleel said the system was provided free-of-cost to the city corporation.
