The second Edition of Kerala Gem and Jewellery Show (KGJS 2009), the only ‘B2B Jewellery show’ in the state, was inaugurated here on Saturday.

“An industry-government exhibition will go a long way in developing the Gems and Jewellery trade in Kerala,” Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem said, inaugurating the three-day show.

“As much as Kerala is a big gold consumer, the state also produces jewellery that is unique to it and is not produced in any other state,” he said.

Over 175 exhibitors from India and abroad are showcasing their latest designs and products at the show.
