Kalam to inaugurate management meet in Kochi

Former President of India A. P. J. Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the 31st national meet of the National Institute of Personnel Management here at hotel Le Meridien on September 6, said a press release.

‘Aligning HR for the triple bottom line' is the theme for the three-day meet.

Employees from Taj Hotel, Mumbai, will narrate their harrowing experiences and recount how they saved their guests, risking their own lives during the 26/11 terrorist attack on the hotel.

There will also be a session on how the Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company Private Limited, Munnar, turned into a success story with the participation of its employees.

Industrialists, management and educational experts from India and abroad will participate in the meet.

They will present papers and also lead sessions.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is scheduled to inaugurate the valedictory session on September 8.

Chief Executive Officer of Wipro T. K. Kurien; Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, Debashish Chatterjee; and Chairman of Petronet LNG Limited A. K. Balyan will be the guests of honour at the concluding session.
