: The Kerala High Court on Friday made it clear that no restriction has been imposed on mediapersons on entering any court premises in the State for reporting court proceedings.

In a press note, Ashok Menon, Registrar General of the Kerala High Court, said news reports were appearing in various newspapers regarding a ban on reporting of court cases and entry of mediapersons to court premises.

“It is clarified that no restrictions exist preventing the media personnel from entering any court premises in Kerala for the purpose of gathering news and reporting the same.” The attempt to resolve the issue between mediapersons and members of the Bar “is in progress,” the press note said.
