The CPI(M), which wholeheartedly welcomed the Kerala High Court verdict in SNC-Lavlin case, cannot turn a blind eye to the scathing criticism of the court against State Health Minister K. K. Shylaja, said K.V. Thomas, MP, here on Wednesday.

The party, which hailed the High Court order, should uphold the same spirit in the case of the Health Minister and sack her.

Owning up the responsibility for the medical admission fiasco, the Health Minister should put in her papers or should be removed from the Cabinet, he demanded.

The Minster was solely responsible for upsetting the medical education admission of scores of students who had cleared the medical entrance exams. She had also come under fire from the court for the nepotism in selecting the members of the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, he said.
