HC directive on case against TV anchor

November 26, 2014 09:32 am | Updated 09:32 am IST - KOCHI:

The Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court to expeditiously dispose of a case registered against TV anchor and actor Ranjini Haridas over an altercation with another passenger at Nedumbassery airport in May 2013. Justice B. Kemal Pasha ordered that the case be disposed of within four months.

The order came on a petition moved by Ms. Haridas. According to a complaint filed by a passenger, Kochurani, while she was waiting in a long queue at the customs counter at the airport on the evening of May 16, 2013, Ms. Haridas tried to jump the queue. She took objection to the action, leading to an altercation between her and Ms. Haridas.
