Govt. view sought

The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the State government to present its view on the suggestion to appoint an independent committee headed by a retired judge to ascertain and identify the reason for the delay in completing the investigation into a murder case that took place nine-and-a-half years ago in Malappuram.

Justice Alexander Thomas issued the directive when a petition filed by Ayisu, mother of Abdu who was murdered in 2005. She said despite repeated directives from the court, the police were not able to identify or arrest the accused. t
