Crude gold ornaments of 24-carat purity weighing about 628 gm were seized from seven passengers, three of them Sri Lankan nationals and others Indians, at the Nedumbassery international airport here on Saturday.
The passengers were detained by Customs officials as they were making their way through the green channel with their hand baggage after arriving on a flight from Colombo at 8.30 a.m. The crude ornaments were concealed on their person.
