An LPG cylinder at an apartment near Vyttila developed a leak, causing a scare among residents.

“We called the police and the Indian Oil Corporation and left the cylinder outside the building on their advice,” said the apartment resident.

By the time IOC staff arrived on Saturday afternoon, the contents of the cylinder had leaked out completely.

Residents suspect the cylinder may have been a damaged one as the gas was leaking from the bottom of the cylinder.
