Four members of a family, including two teenaged children, were found hanging in their house in Munambam near here on Monday morning.
The Munambam police gave the names of the dead as Antony, 45, his wife Sabeth, 40, children Ancy, 16, and Prince, 14. Antony was the son of Daniel of Palliparambil house.
According to Njarackal Circle Inspector, Sajeev K. M., a suicide note recovered from the house revealed that the extreme step was taken because of harassment by a neighbour who had been spreading rumours about Antony alleging that he had misbehaved with women in the neighbourhood.
Antony earned a living by selling fish on his cycle.
