Those who were taken into custody included one Mohammed Mushtaq, 22, from Kumbala in Kasaragod district. He was arrested near the KSRTC bus depot.
Shajan, 33, son of John, from Manjummel, was taken into custody near Edappally. Mohammed Rafi, 21, was arrested from the Thrikkakara police station area. Sudheesh, 28, was also taken into custody from the same area, said a press release here.
Major link
A total of 2.5 kg of ganja was recovered from the arrested. The police said Mohammed Rafi was a major link in the racket that is involved in ganja sales in the city. Rafi used to bring the contraband from wholesalers in Bangalore, the police said. He had been under police observation over the last two months.
