For better water management

KWA intends to ensure 24x7 supply, bring down share of non-revenue water

A Kerala model of water management, with a pilot study in Kochi, is taking shape at the Kerala Water Authority (KWA).

The State agency is preparing a concept note that could be the roadmap for evolving a model that will not just aim at 24x7 water supply, but also at bringing down the level of non-revenue water. The core central city and Mattancherry are the two zones where the KWA is planning to conduct a study. While the steps could be in keeping with the Smart City tag for Kochi, the KWA is looking to the State government for funding or to find external funding.
