Folk art festival in Kochi

4-day festival will feature 250 artists from across the world

The Kerala Folklore Akademi will organise an international folk art festival here during the last week of this month.

Art forms from various countries will be staged at the three venues in Kochi from February 24 to 27. Around 250 artistes will take part in the festival. Artistes from African countries will be an attraction at the festival, which will also feature mask dance from Bhutan, Kolam from Sri Lanka and Jumbo from Africa. The Kerala traditional art forms such as Theyyam, Mukhathezhuthu, Padayani and Mudiyettu are some of the items to be presented during the festival.
