Five flights diverted due to poor visibility at Kochi

Fog and poor visibility disrupted schedules and at least 5 international flights, which were to arrive here from the gulf on Wednesday, were diverted to other airports.

Air India flight – Mumbai-Kochi-Kozhikode-Riyad, and Air Arabia flight from Sharjah, were diverted to Kozhikode.

Emirates Fight scheduled to reach here at 3.20 am from Dubai was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram and later returned to Kochi at 7.20 am, airport sources said.

Etihad Airlines Flight from Abu Dhabi, scheduled to reach here 3.25 am, was diverted to the state capital, while Gulf Air flight from Bahrain was diverted to Chennai. It later arrived here and will be returning to Bahrain late in the evening.
