Students of various universities and colleges in Kerala pursuing their study programmes in fisheries sector have joined hands to form the Kerala Fisheries Graduates Association. A meeting of the association, held at the Cochin University of Science and Technology on April 11, elected Baiju. P as its president and Justine Chacko as secretary. Aneesh is the vice-president and Remisha is the treasurer. According to an official statement, the association is being formed with an aim to boost careers, research and development in the sector.
BSNL to open two telephone exchanges
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be opening two state-of-the-art IP telephone exchanges at Edakochi and Palluruthy on April 16 and 17 respectively. All existing STD and ISD locking codes should be registered afresh. For more details, contact 2328400, 2224300.

Passport Office
The Regional Passport Office in Kochi will remain closed on April 14 and 15 on account of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary and the Vishu festival.
The Passport Seva Kendras in Alappuzha, Aluva, Karingachira, Kottayam and Thrissur will also remain closed on both the days, according to the Regional Passport Officer. — Staff Reporter
