Firms submit bids for Vytilla terminal

June 27, 2010 03:57 pm | Updated 03:57 pm IST - KOCHI:

Fifteen contracting firms bidding for the proposed Vytilla bus terminal cum mobility hub project submitted their pre-qualification documents by Friday – the deadline fixed for the purpose.

Prominent players from across the country have submitted their documents and their individual verification would begin from Monday, said sources in KITCO, the implementing agency.

Tenders would be issued in July to those who satisfy the conditions specified by the agency.

The successful bidder would be decided by August, based on the price bids that they submit.

Work on phase one of the project would begin by Onam. To the question on the delay in initiating work on the two flyovers proposed at Vytilla junction, a KITCO official said that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) that would execute the Kochi metro-rail project, has accepted the design proposed by KITCO. But the NHAI is yet to make its stand clear.
