An early morning fire partially destroyed the office of the HDFC Sales Private Limited located at Panampilly Nagar on Monday. The fire was first noticed by the residents of the area, who alerted the Fire and Rescue officials.
Around 20 Fire personnel drawn from the Gandhi Nagar and Club Road Fire stations controlled the fire in an attempt that lasted for nearly one hour. The rescue operations were led by A.D. Jojy, Station Officer, Gandhi Nagar. Though the building in which fire broke out was located in a busy residential area, the damage was limited to one room in the second floor of the building, officials said.
The quantum of loss was being estimated, officials said.
