Fire at Mulavukad again

January 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - Kochi

: A mini lorry and a shop caught fire near Mulavukad church on Thursday night, at almost the same spot where a car was found burnt earlier this month.

The fire was reported around 11.30 p.m. on Thursday from near the St. Mary’s Church.

The mini lorry, belonging to a local resident, had caught on fire and it gutted a shop nearby.

Fire and Rescue Services personnel arrived to douse the flames.

“A similar fire was reported from exactly the same spot on January 18. We suspect that the same people may be involved in both incidents. We have registered two cases and are investigating the matter,” said Mulavukad sub-inspector of police K. Vijayan.
