Finding cure for cancer, through care

May 12, 2014 10:23 am | Updated 10:23 am IST - KOCHI:

At a gathering of Kalikkoottam here on Sunday, children crooned with musician M. Jayachandran and danced with actor Unda Pakru, all the while asking for more.

Actors Salim Kumar and Innocent had the audience in splits.

Organised by the Cochin Cancer Society for paediatric cancer survivors, the meeting on Sunday helped families burdened with cancer treatment get together, relax and find others who had faced similar ordeals in the fight against cancer.

A short film on a five-year-old girl’s dream and her fight against leukaemia was screened.

The film by actor-director Sidhartha Siva had many personalities from the socio-cultural milieu taking up the cause of the little girl, Gowri.
