Father seeks further probe in Perumbavoor case

The father of the victim in the Perumbavoor rape and murder case on Monday approached the Ernakulam district principal and sessions court, seeking further probe in the case. In his petition, he said that the chargesheet filed by the special investigation team did not substantiate the findings of the post-mortem report and circumstantial evidence in the case. It was highly unlikely for Ameerul Islam, the lone accused in the case, to have single-handedly overpowered a physically well-built woman, he said.
