FACT: hunger strike enters day 13

A hunger strike by employees and officers of the Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore entered the 13th day on Sunday.

K. C. Raphael of the FACT Employees’ Congress, INTUC, began the strike on Saturday after M.T. Nixon was arrested and removed to a hospital after his health deteriorated. V.S. Sunil Kumar, MLA; Congress (I) leader V. P. Ramachandran were among those who expressed their solidarity with the protesting FACT workers and officers, said a press release here.
