Close on the heels of taluk-level mass contact programme Pariharam 2017, District Collector K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla is set to conduct a similar programme aimed at redressing grievances of migrants residing in the district. The programme will be held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Perumbavoor, on July 30 at 10 a.m. It will offer migrant workers a platform to raise their issues directly before the District Collector.

Special emphasis will be given to work-related plight of migrants. Issues regarding banking and Aadhaar card will also be addressed at the programme. Police cases and legal assistance issues can also be raised. A free medical camp will also be organised.

Mr. Safirulla has already held five mass contact programmes at Paravur, Kunnathunadu, Muvattupuzha, Aluva and Kothamangalam taluks considering hundreds of petitions at the direction of the Chief Minister.
