May 14, 2013 01:31 am | Updated 01:31 am IST - Kochi:

The Crime Branch will seek the custody of Lissy Sojan, accused of trafficking women to the Gulf for prostitution.

A petition seeking her custody will be filed on Tuesday. Lissy had been remanded in judicial custody for two weeks after she was arrested last Thursday at Aluva.

Lissy allegedly took over 120 women to Gulf countries to operate her prostitution racket in Ajman and other places. Police said she had been running the racket for close to 10 years.

The police hope to interrogate Lissy and gather information about other members of her ring.

Some of her associates, including her aide Sethulal, two agents and two police officers, have already been arrested.

The police also raided her house in Thrissur and seized computers and several documents from there.
