Cradle of innovation to house crèche

There is good news for the employees of Infopark Kochi who amid work pressure are constantly concerned about their little ones back home left in the care of nannies.

In a matter of three months, a crèche will be up and running at Infopark Kochi. Infopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair said the day care centre would be set up in three months.

A building to house the day nursery has been readied within the Infopark campus. Sydney Montessori School will be running the crèche.

Children aged between six months and six years can be admitted. The crèche will function from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The facility can accommodate 160 children.

Plans for phase II

Two more companies have decided to partner the IT park in the second phase development of Infopark Kochi. The plan is to commission the second phase by the second half of next year.

The construction of the road stretching from Edachira-Brahmapuram Bridge and leading to the project site has been completed. The second phase will come up on 160 acres spread over Kunnathunadu and Puthencruz villages. When completed, the project would have utilised an investment of about Rs. 2,500 crore and created about one lakh jobs.

IT major Cognizant Technologies will partner Infopark in the development of the second phase. Two more companies are gearing up to join Infopark in the endeavour. Cognizant will develop 15 acres in the second phase, the construction of which was launched in 2010.

Thrissur Infopark

The spokes of Infopark is also on a development overdrive with the construction of a 3.30-lakh sq. ft building on at Thrissur Infopark. The new building is likely to be inaugurated by the second half of next year. At present 30 companies are functioning out of the 30-acre campus of Thrissur Infopark.

Bus service to Cherthala

A new bus service to Infopark Cherthala will be launched later this month. The service to be launched at the initiative of Infopark will operate from Vyttila. An air-conditioned mini bus will be deployed for the service.

Ten companies are operating at Cherthala Infopark spread over 60 acres. The service from the Vyttila Mobility Hub is likely to be of immense help to employees of Infopark Cherthala.
