At a time when the online game Blue Whale continues to send shock waves across the country, c0c0n X – 2017, the 10th edition of the annual two-day hacking and cyber security briefing, has put children’s security in the cyberspace as one of its important themes.

One of the major highlights of this year’s meet will be ‘Kid Glove,’ which is meant to create awareness among children, teachers and parents, and help them counter and tackle the threats in cyberspace.

It will feature a Kids Village to educate children, teachers and parents about the dangers of cyberspace and the safe practices that need be followed. The on-site activities include hands-on workshops, sessions, debate competitions and paper presentations. The highlight of the event will be a talk by Parry Aftab, an eminent lawyer and digital security activist, on ‘Social Media and You’.

A panel discussion with teachers on ‘Cyber Safety to Students’ will also be conducted.
