Changampuzha’s works to go online

Chief Minister to launch portal today

The literary works of legendary poet Changampuzha will be now just a click away.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the website, www.changampuzha.com , which will include all the works of the renowned poet, at a function to be held at the School of Technology and Applied Sciences under Mahatma Gandhi University, at Edappally on Thursday.

The project was led by Harikumar, grandson of Changampuzha, as part of a major research project supported by the University Grants Commission. A faculty member of the School of Letters at Mahatma Gandhi University, Dr. Harikumar said the online collection would immensely benefit the future generation of literary students .

Babu Sebastian, Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, will preside over the inaugural function. M.K. Sanoo, noted critic, will deliver the keynote address. V.C. Harris, Director of School of Letters; C.N. Mohanan, Chairman of Greater Cochin Development Authority; and Chandramohanan Kumar, president of Changampuzha Smaraka Granthasala, will attend. The programme is being jointly organised by the School of Letters and Edappally Changampuzha Smaraka Granthasala.
