Chandy, Ministers need not resign: IUML

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, and Public Works Minister V.K. Ebrahim Kunju need not step down because they were charge-sheeted in the Titanium Travancore Products (TTP) case, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) Legislature Party leader and Minister for Industries P.K. Kunhalikutty has said.

“There will be no one in the Cabinet if Ministers have to resign when a case is filed against them,” Mr. Kunhalikutty said.

Meanwhile, IUML State president Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal called upon society to desist from extravaganza in marriage functions.

Each person had the responsibility to avoid extravaganza.

Annual council

He was inaugurating the annual general council of the party here on Saturday.

IUML district president Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal presided. He called upon party workers to gear up for the local body elections to be held next year.
