From this academic year, the CBSE school festival will be held on the lines of the State School Arts Festival.

A decision to this effect has been taken by the Kerala CBSE School Managements Association, which handed over a festival manual to the Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar during the course of a recent discussion.

In a release issued here on Tuesday, the association said a proposal to conduct the festival at the district and State levels under the direct supervision of the CBSE had also been approved in principle. The association proposed a national-level school fest for CBSE students during the course of the discussion. Mr. Javadekar will release the logo of the CBSE School Fest, the release said.

A State executive meeting of the association chaired by president T.P.M. Ibrahim Khan here in Kochi decided to hold the district-level fest in October followed by the State-level fest.

Uniform format

Association secretary Indira Rajan said the proposed national-level fest would follow a uniform format to ensure that students received their rightful recognition.
