The wife of a witness in the Valakom assault case held a protest in front of the CBI office in Kochi on Thursday along with her toddler and members of the Aam Aadmi Party. She alleged that the agency was pressurising her husband to change his statement.

Sneha Jackson, wife of Jackson Varghese, covered her mouth with a black cloth in symbolic protest. Jackson had earlier said that he had witnessed the attack on R. Krishnakumar, a school teacher, at Valakom near Kottarakara on September 27, 2011. Ms. Jackson alleged that the CBI was forcing her husband to change his statement and say that Jackson had accidentally hit Krishnakumar with his car. She alleged that the agency was trying to pin the blame on her husband to rescue the persons involved in the attack.
