Child Care Centre will be conducting a one-day summer camp for children with learning problems in the age group of 6 years to 14 years.

The camp will be held on April 5 from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and will have activities including parent education programme, an exhibition on learning disability and workshop to support children with learning problems.

The camp will also organise a drawing and colouring competition for children.

The awareness programme is to help parents know the problems of the child with learning disabilities. Executive director of the Centre Abraham K. Paul said the programme would help parents understand the needs and the support the child required. The workshop will focus on acquiring basic academic skills like reading, comprehension, spelling, memory and mnemonics.

The centre is a joint venture between the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Kochi branch and the District Administration. Those interested need to register before April 2. Contact 0484-2203252. Registration is free.
