BSNL free call scheme

May 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated May 23, 2016 04:14 pm IST - Kochi:

Under fire for dishonouring its scheme that allowed unlimited free calls from landline during night time, BSNL has clarified that the facility is available across plans barring a few.

The company said in a press note that calls from BSNL landline to any network had been free between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. since May 1.

“This is available for most plans. Of the 3.8 lakh BSNL landline subscribers under Ernakulam SSA, covering Ernakulam and Idukki districts, only 9,159 subscribers do not have this scheme. From June 1 onwards, night free call scheme will be available on all combo plans,” said the press note. Users may dial the toll-free number 18004251176 to see if the facility is available on their landline.
