KOCHI: A 15-year-old boy was found dead in a swimming pool near Amballoor in the early hours of Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Neeraj, son of Manoj. The boy had been reported missing since Tuesday afternoon as he did not return from school.
On a complaint, the police had launched a search operation. Local residents found the body in the pool at an under-construction villa project site around 3 a.m. According to the police, Neeraj had slipped on the tiles and fallen into the pool while he was playing with two of his friends on Tuesday afternoon.
The other children, aged around 10, had got scared and kept quiet about the incident. The Mulanthuruthy police registered a case of unnatural death.
