Body of culinary expert cremated

The body of noted vegetarian culinary specialist M. Anantharaman was cremated at the Brahmana Samooham Crematorium at Maradu on Tuesday.

Anantharaman, 57, who passed away at a private hospital in the city on Monday night, was the founder of the popular Vinayaka Caterers, Vinayaka Food and Beverages as well as Vinayaka Homes, which made up the Vinayaka group of enterprises. Anantharaman became a household name in Kochi over the last decade with his signature preparation of the traditional Kerala sadya . He was also among the first entrepreneurs in the State to successfully explore the potential for export of Kerala’s food preparations.

He was a philanthropist

Anantharaman was a philanthropist, a connoisseur of arts and an active member of various social organisations.
