Bhavan's Institute of Media Studies inaugurated

Union Minister of state for Agriculture, Professor K V Thomas, today urged the new generation journalists to respect 'freedom of individuals' while reporting.

Speaking after inaugurating Bharatiya Vidyabhavan's Bhavan's Institute of Media Studies at a function here, he said journalists, both in print and visual media, should not deviate from facts while giving their reports.

“News should not be given for fun,” he said, adding specifically the electronic media should take care not to hurt the feelings of individuals.

Media people in our country enjoys maximum freedom compared to anywhere in the world, he said.
