A barge carrying ammonia for FACT is stuck near the Kaniyampuzha bridgein the city on Sunday.
A barge carrying more than 150 tonnes of ammonia for the embalmed division of Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) was stuck near the Kaniyampuzha bridge in the city on Sunday after the barge propeller was caught in water hyancinth.
Issue solvedThe raw material was being ferried from the Kochi port. The problem was solved quickly for the barge to carry on its way to the FACT premises late in the afternoon, FACT sources said.
