: The Kerala Bar Hotels’ Association has reiterated its support for Biju Ramesh and declared that it would cooperate with the investigation by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. The decision came at the end of a marathon meeting of the association in the city on Saturday.

President of the association D. Rajkumar said the bar owners stood as one in cooperating with the Vigilance inquiry. There was no clarity yet on presentation of the accounts of the association, a key issue that had caused a sharp division within the association. It was decided on Saturday that a committee would go into the matter and come up with a solution before the next meeting. Mr. Ramesh got embroiled in a controversy after he alleged that Finance Minster K.M. Mani had taken a bribe from bar owners.
